  4. Choose a category and add the note.

A practical example#

Add a Shipping issue note to an order with the customer’s delivery preference. A teammate can read it before responding to a later question.

Permissions and data access#

Reads orders, customers and products to associate notes with the correct records. Notes are stored in Toolbench rather than the original Shopify note field.

Access is requested when you turn the module on. Other enabled modules may request their own permissions.

Requirements and limits#

  • Notes are for staff and are not shown to customers.
  • The module does not send customer messages or notifications.
  • Searching older orders can be limited by Shopify order access.

If something is not working#

  • Confirm a note saved successfully before closing the form.
  • Check staff-role access if Tools is missing.
  • For an older order absent from search, try opening its record directly in Shopify.
