This policy explains how YK Tech (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and safeguards data processed through our Shopify apps, integrations, and automation tools.
Information We Collect
We only request Shopify data that is required to deliver app functionality and fulfill support requests.
Merchant & store details
Shop name, Shopify domain, contact email, and billing metadata provided by Shopify OAuth.
Store data authorized by you
Resources tied to the scopes you approve (for example: orders, products, inventory, locations, fulfillment).
Usage and diagnostic data
Event logs, API errors, and performance signals used to debug and improve reliability.
End-customer information
Only when an app feature specifically needs it (e.g., order data). We never collect more than the granted scope.
How We Use Your Information
Data is processed strictly to power your Shopify app experience and provide support.
Operating the app
Sync Shopify, and render dashboards you expect from the product.
Product support
Investigate tickets, reproduce bugs, and notify merchants about incidents or feature updates.
Compliance & prevention
Audit trails that help us detect misuse, prevent fraud, and comply with Shopify's Partner Program Agreement.
Sharing & Processors
YK Tech does not sell merchant or customer information. Limited processors assist with hosting and monitoring.
Infrastructure
Vercel (hosting) and AWS (databases/backups) store encrypted app data in US.
Shopify requirements
If Shopify requests audit logs or access to investigate a platform issue, we comply as required.
Retention & Deletion
Data is retained only while you actively use the app or as required for lawful purposes.
During subscription
Operational data remains available for real-time syncs and reporting.
After uninstall
Shop data is hard-deleted within 30 days unless you request earlier removal.
Access & deletion requests
Email hello@yktechsolutions.com with your shop domain and we will confirm removal within 5 business days.
Security & Merchant Controls
We follow modern security practices and respect Shopify merchant controls.
Transport & storage
TLS 1.2+ for data in transit, encrypted databases at rest, and least-privilege service accounts.
Permissions
Apps request only the Shopify scopes necessary for stated features. You can review or revoke access any time in the Shopify admin.
Incident response
Confirmed security events are reported to affected merchants and Shopify without undue delay, including remediation steps.
